Apple Takes a Dig at Android with Clever Billboard
Are you familiar with the saying ” What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?” Well, Apple capitalized on that and made it its own, resulting in a great amount of buzz surrounding its privacy-oriented billboard in Las Vegas.

Apple Takes a Jab at Android with Billboard
Although Apple is not officially present at CES 2019, it’s black billboard featuring the back of the latest iPhones sure did make headlines in the industry. The billboard reads: “What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone.” And as we prementioned, this traces back to the well-known phrase: “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” The billboard placed at the side of a SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel first caught the attention of Engadget’s Chris Velazco. It overlooks the Las Vegas Convention Center where the CES 2019 will occur.

About the Billboard
The billboard is actually doing all the work for Apple in a way that it makes up for its absence at the CES 2019. Not only does it distract the public from lagging iPhone sales, but also reminds the people that Apple prioritizes user privacy. There’s a general belief that iPhones are more secure than Android devices. The company’s message is pretty clear. It’s almost as if it’s portraying itself as the sole platform that doesn’t abuse users’ personal information. Apple has previously explained that its source of income comes from selling hardware and software and not the users’ data. On that note, you can easily increase your privacy on iPhone.
Apple’s Billboard- Final Thoughts
Although the CES 2019 will feature many new devices, the companies behind them will not be able to overshadow Apple’s focus on user privacy. It’s quite impressive how much power Apple has even when it’s not physically present. With that being said, that doesn’t mean Apple won’t have eyes and ears checking out the competition at the convention. How else do you expect Apple to stay on top?
