How to Watch ESPN Plus outside USA – Unblock in UK and Canada
How to unblock and watch ESPN+ in UK, Canada, Australia, and anywhere else outside the USA? Disney is about to launch a new sports streaming service. ESPN Plus is a stand-alone channel that doesn’t require a cable subscription to sign in. This certainly is great news for cord-cutters who are looking for ways to watch their favorite sports events live online. At launch, ESPN Plus will cost $4.99 a month. At the moment, it is still unclear which sports events one will be able to stream via the new channel. What is certain though is that ESPN+ will not be available abroad. In the guide below, we explain how you can use VPN to get around geoblocks and watch your favorite channels regardless of where you currently live.

How to Watch ESPN Plus outside USA with VPN
Due to regional restrictions, sports fans won’t be able to watch ESPN Plus unless they currently live in the USA. If you want to unblock ESPN+ anywhere in the world, you need to hide your online location. To do so, you need a virtual private network, better known as VPN. It basically is an online tool aimed at keeping all your private data safe.
Here’s how you can access ESPN+ from anywhere in the world using a VPN:
- First of all sign up with a VPN provider. I am currently using ExpressVPN.
- Next, download and install the VPN app on the same device you wish to access ESPN Plus on.
- Now, launch the VPN app and connect to an American VPN server.
- Once the VPN connection is established, you will appear to be browsing the web as if you were in the USA.
- You can finally watch ESPN+, and any other US-only channel for that matter, from abroad.
In terms of best VPN service you can use, ExpressVPN is hands-down the best. They have multiple VPN servers located around the world. Not to mention the fact they offer a 30-day refund policy. VPN Benefits
By connecting to a VPN server, you can encrypt all of your Internet traffic. Thus, keeping it away from potentially prying eyes. But that’s not the only benefit you get out of using VPN.
- Unblock Geoblocked Channels: There are many streaming services that can only be accessed from certain countries. With VPN you can bypass regional restrictions and unblock any streaming channel you want anywhere in the world.
- Bypass ISP Throttling: Ever noticed that your Internet speed is decent if you are browsing websites but suddenly drops when you are watching videos online? If that is the case, your ISP is probably throttling your Internet speed. Using VPN basically allows you to avoid that from happening.
- Ultimate Privacy: Add an extra layer of privacy and security to all your online activities.
- VPN Applications: You don’t have to be a tech-freak to set up a VPN connection thanks to user-friendly VPN apps for PC, Mac, Android, iPhone, and iPad.
How to Unblock ESPN Plus Anywhere in the World?
Dubbed as the “Netflix of Sports”, ESPN+ mainly targets the ever-growing audience of cord-cutters in the United States. Whether it will be a hit or a miss is yet to be seen. It’ll all come down to the quality of live content users will be able to stream using the new sports channel. ESPN Plus will not have its independent app. Instead, it will be incorporated into the existing WatchESPN application. That’s all we know about Disney’s channel so far.
I’m using Nord, and while we were able to sign in and create the ESPN+ account initially, and watch a few matches, in the past two days the site won’t load at all. Occasionally we’ll get the “not available in location” error message, yet the VPN is up and running on a U.S. server. So I’m assuming ESPN+ is starting to figure out which servers are VPNs, and subsequently are blocking those? Any thoughts around this are welcome!
On IOS, the new ESPN app is geo-locked using the gps location instead of your IP address. VPN services only can mask your IP, not your gps
I’m having the same problem Express VPN does not allow me to get around geoblocking… espn+ is denied to me.
The same happened to me too. I talked to express and they said you couldn’t do it using iOS. I then tried on my PC and I still got the same message.
Tried to sign up to ESPN+ using Express VPN, no luck. I followed your steps and it still says that it isn’t allowed outside the US. Any help would be appreciated
