How to Watch Bell Fibe TV Outside of Canada
Ontarians and Quebecers, this one is for you! You can easily access your Bell Fibe TV subscription, even if you’re outside of Canada.

Fibe TV is an IPTV, which is a service that delivers your content via internet protocol networks. This means that all you’d have to do to get access to your Fibe TV content in USA, UK, Australia or elsewhere abroad is to get a Canadian IP address (preferably from Quebec or Ontario). I’m going to explain how a VPN can help you access your Bell Fibe TV subscription from anywhere in the world.
How to Watch Fibe TV Outside of Canada Using a VPN
I’ll cut to the chase very quickly: You can watch Fibe TV outside of Canada by using a VPN. Without a VPN, trying to get viewing access will leave you with this message:
“Bell Fibe TV is not available in your area.”
You can use a VPN to trick Fibe TV’s streaming app into believing you are still in Canada. A VPN can spoof your IP by connecting your device to a server from a country where there are no geo-restrictions. In Fibe TV’s case, your VPN lets you connect to servers in Canada. When you connect to a Canadian server, all your traffic is re-routed through that server, giving you a Canadian IP and letting you access Fibe TV anywhere in the world.
I suggest trying out ExpressVPN as your VPN service provider. It’s widely considered as the best VPN for Canada out there. Personally, I’ve been a happy user of ExpressVPN for a while now, and I’ve never once been bothered by pesky geo-blocks since. Here’s how to watch Fibe TV outside of Canada using ExpressVPN*:
- Sign up with ExpressVPN.
- Download and install the app onto the device of your choice.
- Launch ExpressVPN and sign in.
- Connect to a server in Ontario or Quebec.
- Wait for the connection to be established.
- Enjoy watching your shows through your Fibe TV subscription!
If you don’t think that ExpressVPN is the right service for you, here’s a list of other great providers for you to take a look at:

*The steps are the same with almost all VPN Providers.
Why a VPN?
A VPN is quickly becoming an essential service for all internet users. Other than being able to change your IP address, a VPN is also an incredibly powerful internet security tool. A VPN encrypts your data and makes sure you’re constantly anonymous while online. If you don’t have a VPN yet, here are some benefits that you might want to think about:
- Access Public WiFi safely.
- Protect your data from any prying eyes through encryptions.
- Prevent ISP throttling.
- Access geo-blocked content with ease.
- Torrent files safely and anonymously.
- Access cheaper online shopping options.
Those are some of the things a VPN can do for you, but let’s be in agreement on one thing: with more people falling victim to data theft, a VPN is slowly becoming an essential service all over the world.
Supported Devices for Fibe TV’s app:

- Apple TV 4K

Watch Bell Fibe TV Outside Canada – Final Thoughts
As usual, I want to remind the readers that using a VPN does not mean you don’t have to be subscribed to the service you want to access. You still need a Bell subscription to access Fibe TV, but there’s no reason for you to lose that subscription just because you don’t currently live in Canada.
Will bell fibe app work, loaded onto a Firestick and plugged into a TV’S HDMI Outside of Canada.
We use Bell Satellite TV not Fibe. We still have the ability to watch at home by downloading the Bell Fibe App to our devices (based on what the Bell web site says). Does this mean the use of a VPN will also work with Bell Satellite TV outside Canada (i.e. Mexico) since we can access it normally at home through the Fibe App, or no?
Hi Jen. In theory, it should work with the Bell Fipe App abroad as well.
Hola fake gps app with express vpn works like a charm!!
It seems that Bell Fibe requires that location services have to be on so the vpn is not able to work?
Are you using an Android or iPhone?
Peut t.on paue que pour 3 moi ou 6 mois sans que l abonnement se reprenne automatique
You could subscribe and then cancel your subscription. That way you’re account will keep running until the subscription runs out.
Bell Fibe with VPN worked with my desk top PC and my lap top. It did not work with my iphone or ipad. It seems to be because location is required for those and it does not let you turn location off and it realizes if you are outside of Canada.
Hello Bruce. I am afraid a VPN cannot help you get around geo-restrictions if the app requires location services to be turned on.
I have also tried VPN Express on iPhone X it does not work because of the location serivce
Tried the chat service on VPN express and they comment they haven’t tried it yet with Bell Fibe
Might work on the Mac Pro but wouldn’t buy it until they confirm it works on FIBE
I have NORD VPN and activate on Amazon Fire Stick with a Canadian server. When I try to open my FIBE app I get a msg that I am not connected to the correct internet signal ie: my home address in Canada. I am trying to activate in Florida.
Hi,
I tried from Algeria, and it works good now!
So I just disabled the localisation service on my Huawei phone and using a VPN (ultimate VPN ) of course!
May be it could help!
How will it work from Saskatchewan? Can you then just go wireless to TV?
I am trying to watch FibeTV on my Samsung tablet in the Caribbean and I have used a number of different VPN’s and still can’t get it to work. Any suggestions would be great, thx!
Hey there, have a bell tv account, signed up for Express VPN using my laptop so I can watch my bell tv while in Florida, have it set to Canada on the VPN, even have the location service on the laptop turned off, and when I try to watch something it’s still saying the service is not available outside of Canada. Any suggestions?
I am a Fibe customer in Quebec, if I were to buy the VPN device and use it in Florida, would it work from my Ipad on Apple tv?
You can watch Bell Fire with VPN only on MAC or PC computer…do not work on iPhone or iPad
I am connected to NORD VPN with a canadian server.
When I try to connect to Fibe I get a msg. “FIBE will only work with my home wifi etc” How can I correct this to work….thanks
Hi Hiba. I’m in the US and I’ve subscribed to one of the VPN providers you recommended but Bell Fibe still shows that content is not available outside Canada. Do I need to go the extra step of setting up a proxy server based in Canada? If so, will it apply to all devices on my LAN or just the device I’m using? FYI I’m on Windows 10. Thanks.
Hey Paul,
Would you mind letting me know which service provider you used?
Sometimes, you need to try out a few servers before you get access to the channel.
Give the other servers a test run first before you go for a more time-consuming work-around.
NordVPN
Just tried your tip of disconnecting from the server I was using and reconnecting. The site connected me with a different server and bingo. Thanks for your help.
HI I have the same problem with Shaw TV. Outside of Canada does not work with ExpressVNP. I have tried others as well. Any suggestions. Using a mac computer with a Samsung TV
Hi
Bell Fibe Tv still doesn’t work with the VPN (we actually have the one you recommend). The issue is the app need the Location services enabled on your devices ( I’m on an iPad) and if I try to disable that still won’t play any content. Is there a work around for that? ( trying to watch in USA). The express VPN did work with Netflix though!!
Hello Collen. In case location services are mandatory, there’s nothing you can do about it I am afraid. You could try watching Fibe TV on a device that doesn’t require location services such as your Mac/PC.
