We live outside the US, have PlayStation vue and have used it for 6 months with express VPN… all of a sudden in the last 12 hours it stopped working. We get error code 5005, PlayStation Vue does not allow access from this type of network connection please reconnect on a different network… is there a new firewall? Or something else going on?

How do you get around the billing part of this just get a pre paid card from the area you are using in the states?

It’s not working with gift cards. For the first registration it requires a us credit or debit card, that’s the problem. How can i register to ps vue? Ps gift cards not working for the registration.

Playstation vue does not work using Nordvpn from Canada. NordVpn support concluded that their servers were geoblocked by playstation vue after trying to fix the problem for 3 hours this morning. Other tv services from the US are unblicked by NordVpn but not playvue tv.

Hi Kevin. Yes, you should be able to change your location within the USA using ExpressVPN. You will get different content on the US channel you are trying to watch unless that channel uses GPS or other location services. ExpressVPN have some of the fastest VPN servers around so I wouldn’t worry much about Internet speed being affected.

I tried Express VPN (from iPad) but whenever I try to connect PS Vue it doesn’t and asks me to contact customer service. Any thoughts on how to access it from the iPad as i dont have a vpn enabled router

I am in Southern California and want to stream the Vue package for Boston. It appears that Hide My Ass is the only VPN with Boston servers, is that correct? Also, do I have to be concerned if I use my Southern California address on setting up the credit card payment info for Roku or Vue? I have a VPN router so just need to decide on VPN server.
Hi Rick. The address you used when setting up your Playstation Vue account should not affect your ability to switch over to the PS Vue Boston package when using VPN.
I did some testing with Hide My Ass servers in Boston and observed significant degradation of download speeds. That detail in conjunction with the fact that Hide My Ass has data caps prompted me to simply cancel Hide My Ass. So the above question has become mute. Maybe some day there will be a service where trying the above makes sense.

you can set up your account with a fake address, just go to zillow.com and find a house in the area you want to appear to be, give them that address for your account. depending on where your VPN is located, is where you have to choose from. Credit card info don’t matter, they can’t prove a friend is buying the service for you. I do this to watch New york city locals on the west coast, I also get all the british channels thru a nother service.
What VPN service are you using for NY Market? I tried Pure VPN on Hulu and i get to see the chanels available but once I try to stream it says they have detectred a proxy. Please reconnect to hulu without proxy.
