Will this work with Apple TV? I live in Australia and have the RTVE alacarta app, but it only shows ‘on demand’ content, not the live streaming channels… which is what I want. Does the RTVE alacarta app in Spain (or via a Spanish VPN) have options for live streaming?
I am in the US. I have PureVPN and connect to Spain. The IP address shows me in Spain once connected, also, google maps shows me in Spain, but when I want to watch certain programs on RTVE it tells me that the content is not available in my country, which means that somehow it still knows that I’m not in Spain, even though the IP search and google maps shows me in Spain. It is very frustrating because I can’t watch some of the shows that I want. I have tried everything. I connect to Spain through the VPN, then I make sure that there are no cookies in my browser, I even tried the incognito mode, and it still detects me. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Mirasol. I’m currently using ExpressVPN to unblock and watch RTVE outside Spain and I’m having no issues. Try connecting to a different Spanish VPN server via the PureVPN app and see if that helps.
I’m In the US and Unlocator, while functional, doesn’t stream video well. It takes a couple of minutes to start and keeps breaking up every few seconds. There’s only one show on rtve.es I want to watch, so spending over $100 a year for ExpressVPN seems out of the question. They also don’t offer a free trial period which makes me question whether it would actually work. Shame…I miss rtve.es.
