How to Unblock Sky Go NZ outside New Zealand
How to unblock and watch Sky Go NZ outside New Zealand? There are plenty of Sky Go variation. A British, German, and Italian version all exist in their respective regions. New Zealand also has a Sky Go version. Unfortunately for Kiwi expats living abroad in Australia, UK, USA, and the rest of the world, Sky Go NZ is geoblocked overseas. In the tutorial below, you can find instructions on how to unblock Sky Go outside New Zealand with the help of VPN.

How to Unblock Sky Go NZ outside New Zealand using VPN
VPN stands for virtual private network. Connecting to a VPN server basically allows you to encrypt all of your Internet traffic. But that’s not the only benefit you can get out of using VPN. Getting around geo-restrictions is another VPN feature. Here’s how to use VPN in order to unblock New Zealand channels abroad.
- If you have not yet subscribed to a VPN service, sign up with a VPN provider that has VPN servers in New Zealand.
- Next, download and install the VPN app on your PC, Mac, Android, iOS, or FireStick.
- Launch the app and connect to a NZ VPN server. This allows you to obtain a New Zealand IP address overseas.
- Finally, use the Sky Go NZ website or app without regional blocks.
One thing I should mention is that not all VPN service providers allow you to unblock Sky Go NZ abroad. Out of all the ones I’ve tried, only ExpressVPN worked. You can test them yourself risk-free thanks to their 30-day money-back guarantee as well.

Express VPN dont support sky go nz. This is what they told me in the comment below: “We are able to make it work for Sky Go UK and Sky Go Italy but we cannot guarantee that it will work for Sky Go NZ though.
Please connect to either Italy – Cosenza, UK – Berkshire 2, UK – Kent or UK – East London.”
If I only have a NZ sky Go acc will doing what they suggest above work with sky go nz? Or do I need a sky go U.K or sky go Italy subscription?
Any suggestions on getting sky go nz to work in U.S.A?
(Willow T.V in U.S.A is showing the icc cwc 2019. Might try that instead.) Any other suggestions would be great.
Hello Chrissy. There are other channels broadcasting the ICC CWC 2019 you can check out as well.
It seems Sky New Zealand have now restricted access to people connecting from ISPs only in New Zealand – which isn’t too hard with there only being a couple of NZ based ISPs. Currently we have no alternative workaround.
Yes I get a message saying technical error. oops try again later. Can this be resolved at all?
Sky have figured out how to block all VPNs as far as I can tell. You just can’t fool the system, which is a worry, as the whole VPN industry is based on IP address obscurity. The browser compatibility problem is poss Safari. It works with Chrome.
No, this doesn’t work, I get “Oops something went wrong, please try again later “.
Any other ideas
Does not work same problems as reported above
Hey man, Just done exactly as you said and got the expressVPN however once changing my location to NZ and go onto skygo to watch sky sport, it now says
“Browser compatibility problem
Your browser doesn’t seem to be very happy with us.

Have tried other browers, taking off ad blockers etc and nothing works.
Any ideas?
Yep same issue
Ditto.
Rather frustrating.
It was working perfectly with the VPN up until about 2 months ago.
Same problem frustrating. Anyone know of another VPN that works for sky.co.nz
